Where are you based?

I’m based in Thornbury, just north of Bristol, but I photograph weddings all over the South West and the UK. That said, I do love capturing weddings at some of the incredible venues close to home, including Thornbury Castle (practically on my doorstep), Old Down Manor, St Tewdrics House (just over the bridge in Wales), and Eastington Park (a quick trip up the M5).

Are you insured?

Of course! I have public liability and professional indemnity cover, so you can rest assured everything’s covered.

How long have you been a wedding photographer for?

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2003, giving me thousands of hours of experience behind the lens. In that time, I’ve seen it all—from intimate English ceremonies with no guests to grand Pakistani celebrations with hundreds of attendees.

How many images will we receive?

The number of photos depends on the length of coverage, the guest count, and sometimes the weather, but I typically deliver between 300 and 600 individually edited and perfected images. These will be presented in your own private online gallery in a mix of colour and black & white.

How long will our photos take?

Your images will be ready 6–8 weeks after your wedding, though I always aim to deliver them sooner if possible. If you need them quickly, I offer a “priority processing” upgrade—just let me know if you’re interested!

Do you do group shots?

Definitely! Documentary wedding photography doesn’t mean skipping group shots altogether. Many of your key guests will expect them, and I’m happy to capture a few. I’ll ask for a list in advance (and might enlist someone to help gather people) so we can get through them quickly and smoothly.

How do we book you?

Once we’ve confirmed my availability, a £300 non-refundable deposit and the completion of a quick online form will secure your date. This amount will be deducted from your final balance.

Does it matter if you haven't shot at our venue before?

Not at all. If I haven’t shot at your venue before, I’ll arrive early on the day to get familiar with the location, or if it’s more convenient, I can visit beforehand. Either way, it won’t affect the quality of the coverage I provide in the slightest.

Do you shoot couple portraits?

Of course! I usually like to spend 10–15 minutes with you, the newlyweds, early in the drinks reception. No posing required—I’ll simply capture some natural shots of you enjoying a stroll around your beautiful venue, ensuring the images blend seamlessly with the rest of your day’s coverage

Do you have back-up equipment?

Yes, absolutely. While technical issues are extremely rare (it’s never happened to me), I always carry at least three cameras and a range of lenses to ensure I’m fully prepared for any situation.

Do you backup the photos?

Absolutely, I take this very seriously. All my cameras record images to two memory cards, so I leave your wedding with two copies of every shot. Once I’m home, the images are backed up to a hard drive, which then syncs to the cloud. I also keep one set of your memory cards in a fireproof box (I use new cards for every wedding). Of course, your final photos are uploaded to your own online gallery (essentially cloud storage), where you can download and back them up for your peace of mind as well.

Do we need to give you a meal on the day?

If I’m staying through the wedding breakfast I’d be immensely grateful if you could. It’s a long day, and a proper meal makes all the difference. However, I don’t have any specific requirements, so if it’s not feasible, I totally understand. A sandwich will do just fine!

Will we own the copyright?

Not quite. The copyright always stays with the photographer, but you’ll receive an unlimited license to print and share your images. You just won’t be able to modify or sell the photos as if you created them yourself.
